DMCA Policy

Toolszu ("we," "us," or "our") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (the "DMCA"), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using the Toolszu platform (including Biolink, URL shorteners, and file hosting services) that are reported to our Designated Copyright Agent.

1. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you are a copyright owner, or are authorized to act on behalf of one, and you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please submit a written notice to our Designated Copyright Agent containing the following information:

• Identification of the copyrighted work: A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed. If multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, provide a representative list of such works.
• Identification of the infringing material: A description of where the material that you claim is infringing is located on the Toolszu platform (provide exact URLs to help us locate it quickly).
• Your contact information: Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
• A statement of Good Faith: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement under penalty of perjury: A statement made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
• Signature: Your physical or electronic signature.

2. Designated Copyright Agent

*Note: Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability for damages.

3. Counter-Notice Procedure

If you believe that your content was removed (or access to it was disabled) by mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notice to our Designated Agent. The counter-notice must include:

• Your physical or electronic signature.
• Identification of the material that has been removed and the URL at which the material appeared before it was removed.
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
• Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification.

4. Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, Toolszu has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, the accounts of users (including Biolink users) who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also, at our sole discretion, limit access to the platform and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.
