Privacy Policy

At Toolszu, accessible from https://toolszu.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy explains what information Toolszu collects, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to the website, our online tools, Toolszu Biolink, and the optional Toolszu Starter and Toolszu Pro plans.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Files and text you process with our tools

• Browser-only tools: many tools run entirely in your browser — your file or text never leaves your device.
• Server-processed tools (for example PDF conversion, the PDF Editor, Verify PDF Signature and the website checkers): the file or web address is sent over an encrypted connection, processed automatically, and deleted shortly after — see section 5.
• We do not read, copy, sell or share the content of your files.

1.2 Log files

Like many other websites, we use log files. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. This information is used to analyse trends, administer the site, prevent abuse (for example daily usage limits), and gather general demographic information.

1.3 Account information (only if you sign in)

An account is optional. If you sign in to Toolszu (with a one-time email code or with Google), we store:

• your email address;
• your name and Google account ID, if you sign in with Google (we do not store your Google password or profile photo);
• login sessions (a random session code, the IP address and browser used), so you stay signed in and can sign out of all devices.

Email login codes are stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form and expire after a few minutes. We do not use passwords for Toolszu accounts.

1.4 Payment information (only if you buy a plan)

When you buy Toolszu Starter or Pro, we keep a record of the plan, period, amount, currency, coupon used, payment ID, the date, and your receipt or invoice (including any billing details you give us, such as name, address or tax ID). Your card, UPI, bank or PayPal login details are entered directly with Razorpay or PayPal — Toolszu never sees or stores them.

1.5 Messages you send us

If you contact support, report an issue or subscribe to emails, we keep your message and email address to reply and to keep a record of the conversation.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain our website and tools;
• Sign you in, keep you signed in, and show your account, plan and receipts;
• Activate your plan, apply ad-free browsing and Pro limits, and send payment confirmations, receipts and renewal reminders;
• Improve, personalize, and expand our website;
• Understand and analyze how you use our website;
• Develop new products, services, features, and functionality;
• Apply fair-use limits, find and prevent fraud and abuse;
• Meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Cookies

We use cookies to store information about visitors' preferences, to record user-specific information on which pages the site visitor accesses or visits, and to personalize or customize our web page content based upon visitors' browser type or other information that the visitor sends via their browser.

• Essential cookies: the login cookie (tz_saas) that keeps you signed in, and security cookies used during Google sign-in. Without them, accounts cannot work.
• Preference cookies and local storage: for example dark mode or tool settings saved in your browser.
• Advertising and analytics cookies: set by our advertising and analytics partners to show and measure ads. Visitors with an active Starter or Pro plan are not shown ads.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will sign you out.

4. Service Providers & Third Parties

We share only the data needed with trusted providers that help us run Toolszu:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Toolszu and its users.

Toolszu's Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. Thus, we are advising you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third parties and ad servers for more detailed information. It may include their practices and instructions about how to opt out of certain options.

5. How Long We Keep Data

• Files processed on our servers: deleted automatically — usually right after processing, and at the latest within about one hour.
• Email login codes: a few minutes.
• Login sessions: up to 30 days, or until you sign out.
• Account information: until you delete your account.
• Payment records, receipts and invoices: kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require, even after an account is deleted.
• Log files: for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.

6. How We Protect Your Data

All connections use encryption (HTTPS). Server-side tools process files in isolated environments and delete them automatically. Account and payment data is stored on secured servers with restricted access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

7. Your Rights & Choices

We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights, including under the GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Every user is entitled to the following:

• The right to access – You have the right to request copies of your personal data.
• The right to rectification – You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.
• The right to erasure – You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions. You can delete your account yourself at any time under My Account.
• The right to withdraw consent or object – for example to marketing emails, using the unsubscribe link in any email.

To use any of these rights, email [email protected] from the email address of your account. We may need to keep some records (such as invoices) where the law requires it.

8. Children's Privacy

Toolszu is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. Plans may only be bought by adults or with the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Please check this page regularly.
