Frequently Asked Questions
Yes — for text-based (non-scanned) PDFs. Our server uses poppler-utils to extract the exact position of every text block. When you edit a block, we white-out the original and render your new text at the same position using FPDI. Scanned PDFs (image-only) do not have an editable text layer.
Yes. Files are uploaded over HTTPS and stored in a private temporary directory. They are automatically deleted after download (or within 1 hour via Redis TTL). We never share, read, or process your files beyond what is needed to perform the edit.
Yes. Click the "Manage" tab in the sidebar to see all pages listed. Drag any page to a new position to reorder it, or click the trash icon to mark it for deletion. Your changes are applied when you click "Download Edited PDF".
The maximum supported file size is 20 MB. For very large PDFs, processing may take a few extra seconds while text is extracted. If you regularly work with files over 20 MB, contact us — we can adjust the limit for your use case.
